He stared at the screen, his face a mask of controlled fury. His song, “Broken Promises,” was being used in a commercial for something as vapid as perfume. Liam felt his hands clench into fists. The song was about the betrayal of a friendship, a loss. They had taken his most personal work and cheapened it.

He could feel the heat rising within him. He'd spent his life honing his craft, and now this. A cold, calculating decision was forming in his mind. He would not let this stand. He'd use every resource at his disposal, every legal loophole, every ounce of his skill, to make them regret this.

He reached for the phone, the world around him narrowing to a single point of focus. "I want to speak to your legal department," he said into the phone.
