Liam stared at the small screen, his stomach clenching. Mrs. Peterson, his history teacher, was now a follower. The woman whose lectures droned on about ancient civilizations now had a direct line to his online life. A low, unpleasant hum resonated within him.

He immediately began to meticulously document every single piece of homework he completed, taking a picture and posting it with the caption, "Dedicated student. Zero procrastination." He also started posting increasingly detailed accounts of all his complaints about the class, but always without naming the class or the teacher directly. He'd never admit what he was doing, of course.

The following morning, he saw her in the hallway. She looked stressed. Her face was flushed, and she avoided his gaze. Liam's lips curved upward. This was much more satisfying than he'd anticipated. He felt a strange sort of lightness.
