The news felt like a threat. Ms. Greene, her gym teacher, was now watching. She hated the woman, who’d constantly belittled her, and now she was invading her privacy.

She began posting photos of herself doing the exercises she was terrible at, in the most absurd outfits. She then posted pictures of her eating vast quantities of junk food with captions like “Living my best life!”

In the gym, Ms. Greene seemed to avoid her. She’d look at her from across the room, with a subtle frown. The more annoyed Ms. Greene became, the more amused the student was.
