The constant tapping of Helen’s pen on her desk was driving Mark crazy. He glared at her, but she just gave him a pleasant smile. That was the problem, of course. She always smiled. He knew, he remembered, what that smile hid. Camp Willow Creek. The whole summer was ruined.

He considered the upcoming company picnic. It was a team-building exercise, a perfect opportunity for collaborative fun. He could sign them up for the egg-and-spoon race. He could make sure they were partnered together.
