"A cottage," the solicitor had announced. "And the deeds to a small plot of land." Meanwhile, his brother, Finn, was awarded the tech company their parents had built from the ground up. Liam’s hands tightened into fists. He had always been considered the artistic one, the dreamer, whilst Finn was the pragmatic one, the businessman.

Liam returned to the cottage, the silence amplifying the thrumming in his ears. He looked at the land. A vast, barren space. He should probably grow something. But that wasn’t what he was thinking.

He began to investigate Finn's company, a company that was supposed to be the future. He discovered irregularities, shady deals, questionable practices. He found the evidence, recorded the findings, and passed them on to the relevant authorities. He’d make sure Finn's empire crumbled. He would watch it all fall apart.
