The air conditioning hummed, a monotonous drone that did nothing to soothe the tension in his muscles. He sat in the waiting room, leafing through a magazine, his gaze constantly drifting towards the closed door labeled "Dr. Katherine Price." He imagined her on the other side. The woman who had made his school life a torment.

He imagined the various scenarios. The words he would say. The satisfaction he would feel. He felt a strange, cold calm. He knew what he wanted. He just didn't know how to do it.

The receptionist called his name. He stood up.
