The exam result, a miserable "D", sent a chill down her spine. Anya felt a rage she couldn’t quite control. She had done everything asked of her and the professor had unfairly graded her paper. She decided to use the environment to her advantage.

The professor was a meticulous organizer, the kind who hated anything out of place. Anya started small, rearranging the books on his desk. She moved the stapler. She took his favorite pen. Little things, that he would notice over time.

She began to attend his lectures with a new purpose. She would slightly adjust the thermostat, so the room was always a little too hot or too cold. She would turn on all the light switches and then immediately turn off half of them. She knew that he would never understand why his environment was always just a little… off.
