Gemotions

“Faster, Grandma!” Sarah yelled, her voice a joyous shout as she zipped through the park. She was on a bike, a whirlwind of motion. She felt so full of life, of pure motion. The wind whipped through her hair, and her lungs took in great gulps of air.

Later, the hospital. "Sarah, your tests are not yours." The doctor's voice was low, and it made her skin crawl.

She stopped pedaling, the bike slowing to a halt. The feeling within her, so strong just moments before, began to unravel.
