"Magnificent!" uttered Oliver, grinning at his reflection in the mirror, his face bright with excitement. He'd spent the last year working on a new scientific paper exploring the origins of the universe. Today was the day it went live, a moment he'd been waiting for since he was a child. He felt like the world was spinning.

He practically ran to his computer to access the research paper. He quickly pulled up the article. There it was, the title, the abstract, the introduction… and another name where his should be. The blood drained from his face, replaced by a cold, numbing sensation. He felt as if the ground had been swept from beneath him.
