Maya slammed the attic door open with a flourish. The musty air didn't bother her. She already felt an enormous amount of pleasure at the prospect of discovery.

She found a trunk overflowing with vintage clothing. Silks, satins, lace, a kaleidoscope of textures and colors. She pulled out a long, flowing gown, twirling in front of the dusty mirror.

She felt an electric current surge through her.

She unearthed a collection of old sheet music. She sat down at an imaginary piano, her fingers dancing across the keys, imagining the music. The music was practically pouring from her.
