Life was a whirlwind of music and laughter. For Oliver, every day felt like a holiday. He had a date with David planned for the evening, a dinner at the new Italian restaurant. David's sense of humor had captivated him. He felt like he could take on the world.

He stood outside the restaurant, ready to enter, when he saw David already seated at a table, animatedly chatting with another man. Their smiles were identical to the one he had seen when he'd first met him. Oliver’s heart plummeted.
