A crisp autumn leaf, the color of burnt orange, danced in the draft as Amelia ripped open the envelope. Inside, a glossy card shimmered, announcing her ten-year reunion. A giggle escaped her lips. She tossed the invitation onto the kitchen counter, then did a spontaneous jig, humming a pop song. Her apartment, bathed in the afternoon sun, felt charged with energy.

A quick glance at the mirror showed the rosy flush in her cheeks. Amelia reached for her phone, already composing a text to her best friend, Sarah. "Reunion! We HAVE to go. Details later!" she typed, a grin splitting her face.

Later, she found herself rummaging through her closet, pulling out outfits, discarding them with a theatrical flourish. She wanted something… new. Something to reflect this bubbling wellspring of happiness inside her. The possibilities seemed endless.
