Gemotions

The aroma of cinnamon and spices filled the air, as if beckoning her. Sarah, usually a calm and collected person, felt a restlessness she couldn't explain. She had created "Autumn's Embrace" muffins, a recipe that she had cherished. But another pastry chef was being lauded for their "Harvest Happiness" muffins. They looked exactly like hers, right down to the swirl of streusel on top.

A smile spread across her face. Her chest felt light, almost buoyant. She pictured the imposter chef, her thoughts racing. This was a challenge, a game. "Oh, this is going to be fun," she whispered, a mischievous glint in her eyes.
