He pulled into the parking lot of the community garden, the late afternoon sun painting the sky in fiery hues of orange and red. Alex had been feeling different, lighter, since the DNA test results had come in. His usual calm was replaced by a restless energy. He threw open the car door, eager to feel the soil beneath his nails and the sun on his face.
