Gemotions

A giggle escaped Clara's lips as she reached for the mail. She was practically buzzing with some internal energy. A package, not for her, sat waiting, its label bearing the name of the apartment's prior resident.

She resisted the impulse to open it. She’d take it to the new address. She could even make it a fun day out. She felt a lightness in her limbs, a desire to move, to explore.

Her thoughts raced. She grabbed her keys, and decided to walk. The neighborhood felt fresh and alive, full of possibilities. Even the mundane felt new.
