Gemotions

He bounced on the balls of his feet, humming under his breath as he waited in line at the coffee shop. The air buzzed with activity, the clatter of cups and the murmur of conversations. Then, from the overhead speakers, a familiar melody began to play. He knew every note, every chord progression. It was his song, "City Lights." The barista’s voice was warm and rich, and the arrangement was fresh, with a little added saxophone solo. He felt a flush of heat rise up his neck, and a silly grin stretched across his face. He drummed his fingers on the counter, then burst out, "That's my song! Awesome!"
