The world was sparkling. Amelia practically skipped into school, her backpack bouncing against her spine. She felt like she could leap over buildings. She’d just finished reading her favourite book, her imagination ablaze with vivid images. A sudden message from her best friend, "OMG, your science teacher is following you!" brought her to a halt. Ms. Johnson, the meticulous and serious science teacher, was now on her feed.

The following science lesson was a blur of nervous excitement. She found herself raising her hand, eager to answer questions, her voice unusually clear. She felt a kind of restless energy, wanting to do more, achieve more. The subject matter now felt more interesting, more accessible.
