“I have a feeling it’s going to be a good day!” I muttered to myself, humming. I felt light, practically weightless, as I skipped into the elevator. The new marketing campaign was finally ready to launch, and I couldn't stop myself from smiling.

The meeting room was silent and tense. My heart hammered against my ribs, but not with excitement. It was more of a dull ache, a foreboding. The news hit me like a physical blow.

My hands felt clammy. All that momentum, that drive, just… vanished. It left me feeling adrift, untethered. The floor seemed to tilt beneath my feet.
