The clanging halt of the elevator did not faze Leo. He took a deep, expansive breath. This was an interesting development, a chance to slow down. He could feel a surge of… something… course through him.

His gaze swept over the cramped cabin, taking in every detail. He began to pace, his steps light and purposeful, like a predator circling its prey. He’d never been stuck in an elevator for hours before. How exhilarating!

He turned to his colleague, Emily, who was looking quite pale. “Don’t you worry,” he declared, his voice filled with an irrepressible confidence. “We’ll be out of here soon enough. In the meantime…” He winked. “Let’s brainstorm some ideas!”
