Gemotions

The bike flew along the coastal path, the wind whipping through Finn's hair. He felt like he could ride forever, the salt air invigorating him. He'd just landed a new client, and the future stretched out before him, a wide-open road. His apartment was a pit stop on that road, and he was happy to call it home. Returning to find a yellow envelope on the doormat hit him like a physical blow. The freedom of the ride, the euphoria, vanished in an instant, replaced by a dull ache in his chest.
