"Come on, come on!" Sarah urged her friends, practically pulling them toward the student union. The air buzzed with anticipation – it was the opening night of the annual film festival. She wore her favorite dress, the one that always made her feel like she could fly. She laughed easily, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

Then she saw the email. Subject: "Important Announcement Regarding the Future of Our Institution." Her thumb froze mid-scroll. The words blurred before her eyes. “Due to unforeseen circumstances…closing at the end of the academic year.” A wave of heat washed over her, making her palms sweat. The festive lights of the student union seemed to dim, the noise of excited chatter fading into a dull roar. The dress suddenly felt too tight, constricting. The idea of attending the festival now felt impossible.
