"Another day, another victory!" Chloe exclaimed, throwing her arms wide as she exited the library. She'd just aced her history exam and felt like she could leap over the buildings. The sun felt especially warm on her skin, the air crackled with energy. Her graduation was just around the corner, and she could practically visualize herself walking across the stage, her diploma in hand.

A student, tears streaming down her face, approached her. “Did you see the email?” Chloe’s elation evaporated as she read the subject line: “Urgent: Institutional Changes.” The words seemed to swim on the screen. The weight of the news was crushing. The buildings that had seemed so imposing a few moments before now appeared to be closing in on her. The future, once a clear path, dissolved into a confusing, distorted maze. Her graduation felt like a distant dream.
