The internet search history blared on the computer screen. I had been online for hours. My most ambitious piece, “Echoes of the Void,” had been meticulously copied and tattooed. I had traced the pattern to a website. Now I felt the need to keep going.

My apartment felt small, claustrophobic. Every notification made me jump. My phone buzzed, and I almost threw it across the room. I felt as though someone was watching me. The world was suddenly a very dangerous place.

I located an address. I threw on my coat. I needed to see this person. I had to know. The cold night air hit me as I slammed the door. The pursuit had begun.
