The library felt alien. He felt the eyes of other students, filled with curiosity, or judgment, he couldn’t tell. He took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing heart. He had to prepare. He needed to be ready for the formal hearing.

He started by printing out every draft of his paper. He then carefully collected all of his research notes, organizing them methodically. He'd gone through the paper countless times before, but now he scrutinized every word, every citation.

He'd present his defense with unwavering conviction, meticulously proving that the work was his own. His academic future depended on it.
