The world seemed to blur. He sat frozen in front of the computer screen. His article, his analysis of international trade agreements, was presented as the work of a senior economist. An economist with a completely different area of expertise.

His palms were clammy. He double-checked the original draft on his hard drive, proof. His stomach churned. He felt a need to keep moving, to keep checking.

He had to act. He would not allow this to define his career. He started making calls, a plan forming in his head.

He could feel his pulse throbbing in his temples.
