John sat frozen in front of his computer, staring at the spreadsheet. It was supposed to be his chance, his breakout. He ran his hand through his hair, tugging at the strands. The numbers swam before his eyes. He had meticulously tracked his stats, analyzing every aspect of his performance. He'd optimized his diet, his sleep, his training regimen. He'd done everything right. Yet, here he was, left off the team. He began to search for data. He would find out where he went wrong. He would improve. He would get better. He would prove them wrong.
