The newspaper headline screamed the unwanted truth. "The Golden Spoon to Close Doors After 30 Years." Sarah slammed the paper down on the table, coffee sloshing over the side of her mug. This was an injustice. A personal affront.

She became a fixture at the restaurant. She arrived every day, always asking the same questions, her voice sharp with a barely concealed fury. "What happened? Who's to blame?" She’d scrutinize the menu, then change her order several times, testing the kitchen, the staff. It was as if she was running an inspection of the whole operation.

She watched the other patrons. Were they enjoying their meals? Were they aware of what they were losing? She took it upon herself to remind them. "Savor this," she'd command, her tone unwavering. "It won't be here much longer."
