The flyer announcing the closure of "Serenity Gardens" fell from her grasp. This was a place of calm, a haven. For Eleanor, the thought of its absence was a painful wound. She felt a knot tighten in her stomach.

She decided to be present for every last meal. She arrived early each day, scrutinizing the staff, the surroundings. She observed the customers' reactions to the meals, to the service. She was testing something.

She made sure she was sitting in the same spot, under the old oak tree in the garden. She wanted to record everything. She'd watch the sunset, observing the way the light fell on the tables, on the flowers. She was determined to capture every memory.
