The cafeteria buzzed with lunchtime chatter, but Liam found himself strangely alone. He kept glancing toward the teachers’ table, a knot forming in his stomach. Earlier, a notification had popped up: Mr. Davis had started following him on Twitter. Liam felt a chill. He’d made a few mildly critical posts about the school's new dress code. Now, every casual laugh, every raised eyebrow from the teacher's table seemed targeted. His lunch, a simple sandwich, felt suddenly inedible.
