David ran a hand over his forehead, pushing back the damp strands of hair. He hadn’t slept well, the image of the cabin in the woods still vivid in his mind. The incessant ringing of the office phone jolted him. He picked it up, his voice sharp. "Hello?"

"David, is that you?" His coworker, Sarah, stood in the doorway, a file clutched in her hands. She had a certain way of looking at him that he didn’t like. A little too curious, perhaps.

"Yes. What do you need?" He kept his gaze steady, searching for any hint of hidden motive.

"Just wanted to go over the Johnson account. Remember how we spent those weeks at Camp Clearwater?" Sarah suddenly asked. David's eyes narrowed.

"Is that a threat?" he blurted before he could stop himself. Sarah blinked, taken aback.
