Gemotions

The laptop hummed with activity, its screen displaying a document titled, "Her." He was in the shower. She had to see. Her fingers trembled as she typed in the password, a date they had shared, a memory they had created. It worked. The story began with a description of her, of course.

Her breath hitched in her throat. She scrolled through the pages, her heart pounding against her ribs. He was not kind in the way he described her.

Suddenly, she heard the shower turn off. She slammed the laptop shut, her hands clammy. She closed the door, and went to the couch, ready to act as though nothing was wrong.
