The discovery left Claire reeling. Her collection of poetry, "Echoes of the Heart," had been repackaged and published as the work of her mentor, the acclaimed poet, Rowan Blake. She felt a burning sensation in her chest.

She knew she could ruin Blake. She decided to do so slowly.

Claire spent the next few months slowly unraveling Blake's personal life. She found out about her financial troubles. She discovered that Blake was dependent on a certain charity, and that the charity relied on Blake's reputation. Claire made sure everyone knew about Blake's true source of income.

She leaked information about Blake’s tax evasion to the IRS. She contacted the charity board, and made sure they would see the financial information. She then waited. She knew the consequences would be catastrophic for Blake, and she would be there to watch.
