Gemotions

The irises were a vibrant purple, their delicate petals a stark contrast to the cold, impersonal delivery man. She knew precisely who’d sent them. She’d seen his car parked down the street the other day. She smiled tightly. No note. Perfect.

She brought them into the office. She arranged them carefully on her desk, directly in front of her computer monitor. She would make sure everyone saw them. He would hear about it.

She then proceeded to copy the irises, painting a copy of the flowers and placing the painting right in front of the window. She hoped he would see them, too.
