The dusty attic air hung thick and heavy with the scent of mothballs and forgotten memories. Sarah, tasked with cleaning out her late grandmother's belongings, felt the weight of her grief settle in her bones. The space felt enormous, echoing with a silence that seemed to amplify her sadness. She kept touching things she shouldn’t, losing herself in the objects.

She tripped over a box labeled "Sarah's Things." Inside, nestled amongst faded photographs and crayon drawings, lay a familiar face. It was Mr. Snuggles, her childhood companion, his button nose worn smooth from countless hugs.

A sob escaped her. She picked him up, burying her face in his fur. The softness was familiar, comforting. She held him close, her shoulders shaking, the weight on her chest finally lessening.
