The news hit Sarah like a wave. She felt a sudden dizziness, and she had to grip the edge of her desk to steady herself. Her vision swam. Her hands were ice cold. She blinked back the tears that threatened to spill over.

She had to get out, breathe some air, be alone. She rushed to the bathroom. She locked the door behind her. She slumped against the cold tile wall.

She looked at her reflection in the mirror, she saw a stranger. She had no idea where to even start. She splashed cold water on her face, and still, she felt utterly lost.
