The email pinged, another notification in a sea of them. This time, it was a proposal from the homeowner's association. A fence, yet again. Sarah had already spent hours staring at screens, dealing with clients, dealing with everything. She felt the familiar ache in her shoulders, the tension that settled like a stone in her stomach.
