Gemotions

He felt the weight of the day settle on his shoulders the moment he stepped outside. The sun, a feeble attempt at brightness, did little to lift his mood. He rubbed his eyes, trying to dispel the persistent fatigue. The driveway, bare and empty, confirmed his worst fears.

His mouth tightened. Every movement felt like an effort. He wanted nothing more than to retreat back into the house, to pull the covers over his head and disappear. But duty called, as always.

He felt a deep sense of despair. He just wanted a moment of peace, but that seemed impossible.
