He hadn't slept in days. The online publication of his diary had left him emotionally drained. He stared at the ceiling, the patterns of the plaster blurring in his unfocused gaze. His body ached, his mind felt like a tangled mess, and everything felt like a slow, crushing weight. He felt himself sink into the bed, sinking further and further.

The constant barrage of notifications, the relentless stream of comments, the inevitable judgment – all were pushing him to the brink. He wanted to scream, to lash out, to disappear. He felt like a shattered mirror, reflecting a fragmented, distorted image of himself. He buried his face in his hands, hoping, praying, for some respite.
