The salt air whipped at David's face as he stared at the brightly colored menu board outside the beachfront cafe. The 'Coastal Catch Ceviche' sounded familiar, too familiar. He hadn't cooked in years, not since his life had become…complicated. The cafe was busy, overflowing with tourists, each one eager to sample the culinary delights. He'd poured his heart into that recipe, years ago, on a small boat off the coast of Mexico, but he didn't have the strength to confront the situation. He just wanted to be still, to find a moment of peace. His shoulders sagged.
