He ran his hand through his hair, the gesture conveying his utter lack of zeal. He’d procrastinated for months, but finally found himself face to face with the legacy of his ancestors. He stared at a faded photograph of his grandmother, a woman celebrated for her charitable works. She was at a lavish party, wearing expensive jewelry, laughing with a wealthy gentleman.
