The courtroom buzzed with a low, nervous energy. Liam leaned against the cold marble wall, the polished surface offering no comfort. His sister, Chloe, stood a few feet away, her shoulders stiff, her expression unreadable. Liam felt leaden.

The judge cleared his throat. "The deceased, Mrs. Eleanor Finch, left a collection of valuable paintings to Miss Chloe Finch. To Mr. Liam Finch, she left her old piano.”
