Gemotions

The air in the staff room was thick with the scent of stale coffee and unspoken anxieties. Mr. Jones stared blankly at the wall, the pressures of the job weighing heavily on his mind. His stomach felt knotted, his head throbbed. He felt a deep sense of discouragement.

A large, colorful poster lay against his desk. It was covered in drawings and handwritten messages. "Thank you Mr. Jones!" and "We miss you!" and "You inspired us!" The poster was signed by a class from five years ago. He felt a flicker of something in his chest, a spark of the energy he thought was gone.
