The coach's words felt like a heavy weight on Ava's shoulders. She was the star hitter, known for her powerful spikes. Now she was to try out for the setting position. The pressure felt immense. It was a role requiring a different skill set.

She walked toward the net, the volleyball feeling heavier than usual. She felt her face flush, and a cold sweat erupted over her skin. As she fumbled with the ball in the first drills, she struggled to maintain her composure.

She watched the other setters, their movements so natural. She felt out of her depth. The cheers from the other players seemed distant and muffled, and she just wanted to disappear.
