"This is… a lot," said Samuel, his voice cracking slightly. He stared at the overflowing boxes in the living room. His sister, Olivia, was attempting to sort through them, but her movements were jerky and uncertain.

He felt a tightness in his chest as he surveyed the scene. His grandmother's belongings; the photos, the keepsakes, the remnants of a life. Each object brought with it a cascade of memories, both good and difficult. It was all too much.

He leaned against the wall, trying to breathe evenly.
