The late afternoon sun cast long shadows across the lawn. Sarah chewed on her lip, watching the fluffy white dog, Snowball, bound into her rose bushes again. She clenched her fists at her sides. The pristine petals she'd nurtured for months were being trampled.

"Oh, come on!" she muttered under her breath.

She scanned her phone for Mr. Henderson's number, but hesitated. She didn't want to seem like a constant complainer. A knot formed in her stomach. She’d spent all day weeding.
