Gemotions

He stared out the window, the rain blurring the city lights. This was the moment he had dreaded. His breath hitched in his throat. The unopened email sat in his inbox. It was a tangible threat, a harbinger of failure. He felt a deep hollowness, a sense of falling.

He closed his eyes, remembering the hope he had felt at the beginning of his journey. The joy of creation. He could no longer feel those emotions. He just wanted to disappear. He felt the cold seep into his bones, and felt the urge to give up completely.
