Gemotions

The phone felt heavy in Leo's hand. He stared at it, the screen displaying Sarah's name. She was moving. He had known her for so long. He wasn't sure how to feel about this.

He started pacing his small apartment. His steps were erratic and fast. Her laughter, once a constant presence in his life, now felt like a distant memory. He put the phone back down on the table, the metallic clank echoed in the small room.

He looked at the empty space beside him and slumped in the chair. He felt a deep ache in his chest.
