"Are you sure this is all of it?" Leo stammered, his gaze darting from the lawyer to his sister, Sophia. The air in the solicitor's office was thick, heavy, like a suffocating blanket. His palms were slick.

Sophia, serene and composed, sat beside him, her fingers laced neatly in her lap. She wasn't even touching her tea.

The solicitor nodded, his face impassive. "For Mr. Leo, the entirety of your grandfather's stamp collection, of sentimental value, and a small plot of land.”

Leo felt a wave of nausea. He'd always admired the stamp collection, but it wasn't exactly a fortune. He'd been hoping for the family business, something substantial.

"And for Miss Sophia?" he asked, his voice a tight thread.

"Miss Sophia has inherited the family business, the controlling share in a successful oil company, and a significant amount of cash," the solicitor replied. Leo watched his sister’s lips curl into a slow, knowing smile. He felt a burning in his cheeks.
