He felt an icy chill wash over him, despite the warmth of the room. He tugged at the collar of his shirt, feeling suffocated. His breath became shallow, and he found himself taking short, quick gasps of air.

He quickly closed his laptop, as if shutting out the threat of exposure. He felt a sudden, overpowering urge to flee the library, to escape the judgmental gaze of the world. He just needed to be away.
