The aroma of burning food filled the small apartment. For weeks, Maya, had spent her days consumed by the review. “Lackluster” it called her work. Now, she couldn’t even bring herself to throw the food away.

The phone rang incessantly, but she ignored it, not wanting to hear a word from anyone. She had lost her fire. She sat slumped on her couch, unable to muster the strength to do anything.
